A day in the life...
The Central/East Europe (CSE) team is located all over Europe. We can hire in any of the following countries: Netherlands, Belgium, Germany, Poland, Romania, Czech Republic, Slovakia or Italy. Depending on your location you might decide to go to the office or work from home. Flexibility and freedom to determine your own agenda are key here. We trust you are motivated and feel the ownership of your own results to make every day into a great day at work.
During the day you will be working on:
- Distributor Management – takes care of a group of ruminant distributors that give access to the country's biggest and smallest ruminant farms. These distributors will be your support in several of the countries
- Technical Sales Manager for feed additives (FA) for ruminants – responsible for the technical support of the ruminant sales team in the CSE region, working closely with Technical Sales Manager FA Ruminant ECA
- Farm visits – together with or without your distributor you will be visiting farms to support the farm team on farm management, calf rearing, nutrition/feed advice and product application.
- Support - organises customized farmers seminars and coordinate applicable targeted marketing activities together with the European marketing teams
- Internal networking- responsible to coordinate the internal expertise for Key Accounts by collaborating with the General Manager, Country Manager, Technical Sales Team, Product Development, Pricing and your counterpart at different business entities
- Stay up to date with internal developments and trainings - build own product and technical knowledge in relevant product categories by taking local & global technical trainings.
- Administration - like forecasting, debtor control, pricing, coordinating orders, staying in contact with the customer care team and handling customer complaints as primary contact.
Preferred Qualification and Experience:
In order of preference/importance
- You are fluent in English. Any other languages are a plus
- Several years of experience on ruminant farms – preferably with a nutritional background (e.g. experience in working with feeding optimization programs for big and small ruminants, using different nutritional systems i.e. NRC, INRA, DVE/OEB, CNCPS etc. and knowledge in farm management assessment: BCS, locomotions score, rumen fill score etc.)
- This job requires a willingness to travel internationally – how much you travel depends on your vision of what is good key account management (a guideline is 30%, but this is not a restriction)
- Team player with strong negotiation, presentation and cultural skills. You will be dealing with the largest dairy farms in Europe, but also with small distributors. Are you confident that you can handle such a variety of customers?
- Excellent communication skills – you will be dealing with so many different types of people both at Trouw Nutrition as well as at the customer level, that you must really like to play in different layers of an organisation
- Organizational skills and time management skills - in other words; you should be able to deal with an agenda that is not one day the same. If you love repetitive patterns, then this is not your job
- Strong sense of personal accountability
- We believe that your education level is not a criterion to judge someone on. With experience in real life, we believe you have a lot more to contribute. Therefore we don’t add education to this list
