The Application Support Engineer is responsible for supporting, deploying and implementing various applications, databases and integrations with other systems. In addition, the Application Support Engineer will ensure that the global application environments and interfaces with other systems are monitored and managed on a daily base and in a professional manner following ITIL process.
The Application Support Engineer is a team player in the Global Technical Application Support team. The team is responsible for supporting local and global applications. This includes applications like MS Dynamics CRM, MS SharePoint, MS Power Apps platform, Databases on MS SQL Server, PowerBI (reporting tool), Bestmix (Formulation software), Ultimo (Machine maintenance) and more.

The Application Support Engineer reports to the Domain Manager Applications Global IT Services, based in Boxmeer (The Netherlands).
About The Role
Responsibilities:
Ensures the optimal functioning of application(s) in functional/technical sense and the continuity and security of data and software.
Responsible for the handling and implementation of changes and requests from (internal) customers on functional and/or technical areas within the agreed service levels.
Participates in architecture and design of solution; leads module level design
Participates in projects aimed at the roll-out of applications within Nutreco, and works with project manager to set and review overall quality of deliverables
Expectations from the Role
Responsible for the accurate intake, handling and resolving of incidents from (internal) customers on functional and/or technical areas within the agreed service levels for an optimal user experience
Manages the technical rollout and post-deliverable technical strategy
Participates in application user groups
Skills and Expertise
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in ICT and 3-5 years of experience in supporting applications and application architecture including Tomcat and IIS.
Proficiency with Microsoft SQL Server (2017-2022), Azure SQL Database, Azure SQL Managed Instance and Microsoft SharePoint. Knowledge of Dynamics 365 CRM and MS Power Platform (Power Automate, Power BI) is preferred.
Familiarity with ITIL processes and demonstrated ability to resolve technical issues to manage all incoming and outgoing (project) documentation.
Strong team player with excellent communication skills, capable of effectively transferring knowledge and ideas through oral presentations.
Process-oriented problem solver with strong analytical skills and a results-oriented mindset.
