What you’ll do

We are looking for a motivated Electrician to join our team. This role is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing electrical systems, preventive maintenance, emergency repairs, also collaborate with other departments and third-party agencies and technicians and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives within the plant, ensure compliance with safety regulations, standards, and procedures, addressing hazards proactively.

• Perform inspections and preventive maintenance on equipment, machinery, and installations following schedules and checklists.

• Identify, troubleshoot, and repair defects or malfunctions, including emergency and corrective repairs.

• Execute planned and complex maintenance tasks, sometimes supervising third-party technicians.

• Order spare parts, materials, or custom-made components as needed for maintenance or repairs.

• Carry out modifications, overhaul, and propose technical improvements based on expertise.

• Collaborate with management on quality and technical issues, providing solutions to avoid recurring problems.

• Log all maintenance activities in maintenance management systems to ensure proper records and equipment history.

Who we’re looking for

• Red Seal Industrial Electrician certification is required (asset)

• Minimum two years’ experience in a manufacturing environment.

• Strong experience troubleshooting, maintaining, and repairing electrical systems in an industrial, manufacturing, food/feed, or production environment.

• Ability to read and interpret electrical drawings, schematics, blueprints, and technical manuals.

• Experience working with motors, controls, PLCs, sensors, drives, conveyors, and automated equipment.

• Knowledge of preventative maintenance practices, equipment reliability, and safe work procedures.

• Ability to diagnose electrical faults quickly and complete repairs to minimize production downtime.

• Strong understanding of electrical codes, lockout/tagout procedures, and workplace health and safety standards.

You’ll also need

• Ability to operate under pressure with constantly changing priorities and deadlines.

• Ability to communicate and deal with various stakeholders with tact and diplomacy.

• Strong communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with internal stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.

• Flexible and adaptable, with willingness to support other maintenance functions as required.

• Availability to work shifts, overtime, weekends, or on-call coverage as needed.
