What you’ll do
As a Maintenance Technician, you will embody Nutreco’s Own It mindset by taking full accountability for the equipment that supports our mission of feeding the world. You will perform preventative and corrective maintenance on a range of mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems, using technical diagrams and strong troubleshooting skills to resolve issues independently. You will work closely with production teams and external contractors to minimize downtime while promoting a strong safety culture and ensuring strict adherence to HACCP standards. Through precision and ownership, you will play a key role in optimizing facility performance.
Who we’re looking for
We’re looking for a skilled, self‑motivated Maintenance Technician who thrives in a fast‑paced manufacturing environment and takes pride in equipment reliability. You bring a strong mechanical background with hands‑on experience in pumps, hydraulics, and PLC systems, and can diagnose and resolve complex issues independently. You value safety, stay organized, and communicate effectively across teams. Comfortable in a physically demanding setting, you are committed to maintaining high quality and food safety standards and will contribute meaningfully to our purpose of feeding the world.
You’ll also need:
Industrial Maintenance Expertise: Proven experience in an industrialized manufacturing environment with a deep working knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems (up to 480), including pumps, valves, piping, and motors.
Diagnostic & Analytical Proficiency: The ability to interpret complex technical documents—such as P&IDs (Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams), blueprints, and engineering specifications—to troubleshoot and resolve equipment malfunctions efficiently.
Operational Independence: A self-starter mindset with the organizational skills to manage time and maintenance tasks independently, ensuring minimal production downtime without constant supervision.
Safety & Quality Leadership: A disciplined commitment to safety protocols and HACCP procedures, with the confidence to ensure that all co-workers and outside contractors adhere to these rigorous standards.
Communication & Collaboration: Strong interpersonal skills to effectively coordinate with production staff, engineers, and service technicians to solve problems and optimize facility performance.
